How should a weekly magazine reach every reader in Euskal Herria?

A feasibility study for bringing the last-mile distribution of the weekly magazine Argia in-house, replacing third-party couriers with a cooperative network. We ran a preliminary route optimisation, divided the territory into balanced working days and modelled three scenarios, from 80% to fully in-house delivery, with a governance and risk review on top. A follow-up annex set the order of territories, Gipuzkoa first.

How is AI being used in the social economy, and how should it be?

A first benchmark of artificial intelligence in the social economy for ASETT, the Arizmendiarrieta Social Economy Think Tank: how cooperatives and social-economy organisations use AI, its opportunities and risks, and models for adopting and governing it.

What does a small cooperative need to run itself?

Antolaketa ('organisation' in Basque) is the management platform we built and run for cooperatives: projects from first idea to funded grant, departments and their results, shifts, time off and the monthly close, and a cash forecast, on the co-op's own servers and in Spanish and Basque. Eraman and Human Spaces use it.

Who should hold the data a city's deliveries produce?

Connecting Argia and Eraman to DATADUM, Vitoria-Gasteiz's logistics data space, which Mobility Lab is building under the Gaia-X framework to promote sustainable logistics in the city. We work on the governance and the connection, with the cooperative Startin'Blox.

How do worker voices reach the people who make urban policy?

Forging Links in Action, led by Eraman, connects cooperative bike logistics with Clean Cities advocacy. We supported Eraman on a media training with NEON for coordinators of cooperative logistics firms, and on an online event, Workers Already Know How Cities Work, bringing city officials from the Clean Cities Campaign together with cooperatives and the press.

How do small delivery co-ops grow stronger together?

An intercooperation project with three bike-delivery businesses across Euskal Herria, led by Eraman and funded by the Basque Government. We advised each on its structure and its future: one company became a worker cooperative, one struggling cooperative was brought to an orderly close with no one going bankrupt, and one became more viable. Our members did this work in 2022, through Eraman, before Human Spaces existed.

What can delivery co-ops learn from each other?

An Erasmus+ project with a European network of bike-delivery cooperatives. Over two years we visited two dozen cooperatives to see how they organise, share what worked and support newer ones. Our members did this work in 2023 and 2024, through Eraman, before Human Spaces existed.

How does local food reach the city without a van?

Crops4LIFE is a LIFE project led by Vitoria-Gasteiz's Centre for Environmental Studies (CEA). We work on the logistics with Eraman, alongside Soilik, Sustraiak Habitat Design and Amaterra. Our members started this work through Eraman, before Human Spaces existed.
